SERVICE CREDITS

Service Credits

6 Service in Community and Church events are required throughout the year. Each event is equal to ONE "credit".

From the list please choose at least three different areas in which you would like to serve.

Please Note: All students are expected to serve three times as a:
* Communion Server
* Nursery Attendant
* SPARK Sunday School Shepherd
* Worship Usher/Greeter

An acolyte- will light the sanctuary candles at the beginning of the worship service.

Sunday School Assistant-help teachers in our SPARK Sunday School program. They help with various projects of the say and may be asked to read to the children.

Hospitality- is made up of people serving other people as ushers, greeters and communion servers. Students and other youth can participate in hospitality.

Nursery assistant-nursery assistants would be scheduled ahead of time in the even that our nursery coordinator would be unavailable.

Reader- read bible lessons during our worship services.

AV Ministry Team-run the audio and video components of the worship services. Training is required and offered to run the equipment. This is an immense help to all in worship.

Fare For All Volunteer-Fare For All is a program which sells good quality produce and meat to people in the community. FFA is held at Crown of Glory.

Music Ministry! Join the Youth Garage Band! If you play an instrument or sing, please get involved.

CONFIRMATION COVENANT

As a confirmation student I WILL

Bring with me a positive attitude to my Confirmation class, realizing that I am here by my own choice;

Complete 20 Worship notes, 4 during Lent; Attend Ash Wednesday worship.

Attend Wednesday Large Group Gatherings and service/fellowship time with my small group.

Complete to the best of my ability my Confirmation course work and participate with my small group.

Attend confirmation orientation and special events which are an expected part of each year.

Complete at least the minimum number of service projects expected each year.

Attend Confirmation Camp at LEAST ONCE in there three year Confirmation experience.

Attend worship regularly with our confirmand on Sunday and attend the orientation at the beginning of the year, and participate in all Family nights;

Notify the small group leader when our confirmand will not be able to attend class and take responsibility for making sure the assignment work is done at home;

Review all Progress Reports and other communications regarding our confirmand, and where there are problems, work with his/her small group leader to resolve them;

Serve as a parent volunteer to organize, chaperone, or assist in one of the needed programs.
