Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Newberry Animal Hospital Group!

Please review the following guidelines for volunteers before completing this application.

Volunteer Guidelines:

Volunteers must be over the age of 13.
Volunteer shifts are typically limited to 4-hour time slots per day for an 8 week period in order to give others a chance to participate in our program.
Volunteers are expected to document their hours at the hospital by signing in and out and inform the Office Manager of any scheduling conflicts as soon as possible.
Volunteers must adhere to the safety policies and procedures set forth by the clinic at all times.
Volunteers are expected to dress suitably and maintain a professional appearance at all times. No jeans or open-toed shoes are permitted.
As a volunteer, your main responsibility is to observe and assist our Veterinary Assistants and Technicians in a supervised manner.

Tasks include: Walking and bathing dogs, assisting with cleaning duties and laundry throughout the boarding kennels, lobby and clinic, stocking supplies in exam rooms, and observing hospital procedures. Depending on your level of experience, you may have the opportunity for more hands-on tasks such as practicing humane restrain of animals for blood draws.
