This form is the mandatory pre-participation survey that you must complete in order to opt-in to Ecology Ottawa's Tree Program and be eligible to receive one or more tree seedling(s). We'll be following up with you periodically with care reminders and tips, as well as checking in a year later to see how your tree(s) are doing!

We will do our best to ensure that everyone who would like a tree is able to get one - we've got 15,000 to distribute after all! However, the completion of this form is not a guarantee that you will receive one.

Ottawa’s urban tree canopy is under threat. The emerald ash borer has decimated our tree population, killing 25% of Ottawa’s trees. In addition to this, our winters are warmer, our summers are hotter, and Ottawa is seeing more frequent severe weather events like droughts, heavy rainfalls and violent storms. This is only the beginning. Climate change, invasive pests, expanding urbanization and infill construction are also major threats to trees. We need to re-plant and keep planting to stay on top of the threats.
