GENERAL INFORMATION

The subscription period is one (1) year membership subscription.

There are three (3) categories of membership applications:
1) Individual membership  
2) Family Package membership
3) Corporate Account Membership

1) Individual membership:
This type of membership is applied to everyone who are the alumni, staff or students of UBD (BND60.00 per individual per year), as well as the public (BND180.00 per individual per year). 

2) Family Package membership:
A newly-introduced membership package where registered individual members are able to register subsequent family member, which are the immediate family member as the member of The Sport Complex with 50% off the membership fee. 

Please note that immediate family members (smallest family unit) are referring to the parents, siblings, spouse and children. The 50% off is applied to the subsequent members only.

3) Corporate Account Membership
Applicable to any companies or associations who are interested to become members and be part of the community of Sports Brunei Darussalam.

We have also introduced Membership ID Card for only BND6.00 for one (1) membership subscription.

Terms and Conditions

GENERAL 

1. All reference to “The Sports Complex” refers to the Sports Brunei Darussalam, its staff, employees, sub-contractors, agents and representatives. Facilities refer to the fields, courts, gymnasium, changing rooms, lounges, studios, canteen, pantries, and offices where applicable. 
2. Sports Brunei Darussalam’s staff reserves the right to perform random identification checks upon entry or once inside The Sports Complex and refuse any guest to ensure the safety and security of all patrons using the facility. 
3. Tobacco, gum and spitting is strictly prohibited inside The Sports Complex’s facilities. Food and drinks are strictly permissible at lounge(s), café(s), canteen, and pantry area only. 
4. The Sports Complex is not responsible for any personal items left behind, losses or theft. 
5. The Sports Complex reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions without prior notice. The terms and conditions may vary from time to time and may be reflected at our terms and conditions page. 
6. The Sports Complex reserves the right to cordoned off any of the facility for the purpose of maintenance, cleaning, servicing and any other necessary work that needs to be carried out. 
7. The Sports Complex reserves the right to use the facilities for special events, competitions and private functions and may cordoned off the area from members, guest and other patrons. 
8. Should any equipment or property at The Sports Complex be broken, damaged or lost, or should any damage be done to The Sports Complex, the user shall pay a sufficient sum to make good such damage or loss. No equipment or property shall be altered or modified without the prior written approval of The Sports Complex. 
9. The Sports Complex is indemnified against any liability or claim by the user with respect to any bodily injury, personal injury, illness, losses, claims, demands, actions, damages, expenses or other issues that may result from participation in any activity held at The Sports Complex. This also includes assets, equipment, and any properties of The Sports Complex caused by any negligence, accidental or wrongful act by the user. 

MEMBERSHIP 

10. Sports Brunei Darussalam (“The Sports Complex”) reserves the right whether to accept or approve any membership application without assigning any reason of the rejection. 
11. By signing membership registration form the applicant agrees to the terms and conditions contained herein. 
12. Members of The Sports Complex, as a condition of membership are to comply with the rules set out below. This is to ensure that the facilities are properly and safely used and that all members have full advantage of them without interfering with the enjoyment of others. 
13. All of the membership rules contained herein apply equally to members, guests and visitors alike. 
14. Eligibility to apply for $60 per year membership; enrolled students, current UBD full time employees and alumni of UBD (must show proof such as UBD Certificate or previous UBD ID). 
15. Public are eligible to apply for $180 per year membership. 
16. Immediate Family Members (parents, siblings, spouse and children) of the registered individual members of The Sports Complex are able to register their subsequent family member with 50% off the membership fee. 
I. Immediate family members of registered individual members from UBD is eligible for $30 per year. 
II. Immediate family members of registered individual members from Public is eligible for $90 per year. 
17. A membership ID card is provided for $6 per year. 
18. By becoming a member, the member must download the Booking App and Igloohome App. The applicant can go to the reception desk and fill in the membership form or by completing the online Membership Form. 
19. All Sports Brunei Darussalam’s facilities are free for eligible members with their two (2) guests except for game facilities, rooms and instructor class sessions. 
20. Membership fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. 
I. The Sports Complex reserves the right to withdraw the member’s membership without refund if the management has found out that the member have permitted another individual to use his or her membership. 
II. The Sports Complex reserves the right to withdraw the member’s membership without refund if the management has found that the member have done repeated offence and does not follow the rules and regulations. (Refer to No. 24). 
21. All members must be over 12 years old to avail of the facilities and services provided at The Sport Complex. Children below 12 years old must be under parents or instructors supervision in order to use The Sport Complex’s facilities and services. 
22. Entry will only be permitted to those with a valid membership, in date and in credit. If you have an amount due to be paid on your account you won’t be able to enter the building. 
23. As a member you agree to comply with the rules of The Sports Complex with regards to use of the facilities opening hours and your conduct. The Sports Complex may make reasonable changes to these rules from time to time. 
24. In the event of a breach of membership rules and regulations The Sports Complex reserves the right of admission and reserves the right to require any member or guest to leave the premises. 
I. Any member found in breach of rules and regulations or committing an illegal act, including theft, will be asked to permanently leave the club and be barred from ever entering The Sports Complex again. 

USERS CONDUCT 

25. All members, guests and other patrons must conduct themselves properly and respect staff directives while using The Sports Complex’s facilities. Users should co-operate fully with The Sports Complex’s staff to ensure safe and successful operations. 

OPENING HOURS 

26. The Sports Complex reserves the right to vary the opening hours as considered necessary for the proper operation of The Sports Complex. 
27. Notification of adjustments to the hours of operation will be posted on a timely basis. 

FACILITIES (INCLUDING EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY) USAGE 

28. All entry and exit must be through the main entrance where the reception desk is. 
I. Members and their guests who have booked at Indoor Sports Hall may enter through the side entrance. 
29. Members must access the facility with their own Bluetooth key from the Igloohome App using their own mobile device. 
30. Any access by Bluetooth Key not belonging to the bearer or of suspicious nature will be reprimanded immediately. The bearer and member may face suspension of access to The Sports Complex for a period of time. 
31. It is the member’s responsibility to perform in accordance to the facility usage and members need to perform activities within the designated courts/fields. 
32. Any equipment or property utilized by the member and its guests found to be broken, damage or lost will be at their sole cost and expense and intend to make good. 

RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT 

33. Members are able to rent the equipment at The Sports Complex subject to rental fee. 
34. Requirement of manpower and transportation is also subject to a fee. 
35. The member shall use the equipment in proper manner and is responsible for keeping the equipment in good working condition. 
36. The Sports Complex will not be held liable for any damage, loss of the equipment or any other liabilities of any kind to any person(s) or property during the duration of the rental of equipment. 
37. The member shall inform The Sports Complex for any defect that may occur during the duration of the rental of equipment. 
38. The member renting shall comply with this agreement and will be held fully liable for the equipment and for any damages that may result during the rental. The member is responsible to compensate accordingly. 
39. At the end of the rental, the equipment shall be returned to The Sports Complex in good condition. 

GUESTS POLICY 

40. The members are entitled to bring maximum two (2) guests each time and guests of members are welcome to use the facilities and services of The Sports Complex. Guests will only be eligible to access The Sports Complex with the presence or when accompanied by the member. 
41. All guest must present a photo ID to the security before being allowed into the building. 
42. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guest and must accompany their guests at all times inside The Sports Complex compound and when using the facilities.  

WALK-IN PROCEDURES 
 
43. For any walk-in, members must inform through WhatsApp or the Booking App before visiting The Sports Complex. 
I. Members must inform which facility will be used to be able to inform beforehand whether the facility is available or not. 
II. Members shall inform which facility will be used to able to set up the courts / fields before your visit. 
44. Members with their two (2) guests may walk-in anytime during the operation hours. 
45. Members must inform and notify the security at the reception desk before proceeding to the courts / fields. 
46. Members who have walk-in must comply and acknowledge that if another member have booked the courts / fields through the Booking App, they are to conclude their game / session for the next booking. 

SAFETY AND HYGIENE 

47. All equipment used shall be returned to their appropriate position and to keep the facilities clean every after use. 
48. Each member of The Sports Complex is responsible to maintain the cleanliness and be considerate to the next member who is going to use the facility. Any rubbish must be gathered and put aside in one place so as not to obstruct the courts / fields. 
49. You may, at your own discretion and expense, obtain personal insurance for loss, injury or damage that you might sustain arising from use of The Sports Complex. You exercise or play at your own discretion. Any injury or illness brought on by exercise is your own responsibility. 
50. Members and guests acknowledge that some activities and associated activities can be dangerous. 
51. If an injury occurs or emergencies when using The Sports Complex’s facilities, please contact a member of the sport complex staff immediately. 
52. If you feel dizzy, faint, unwell and/or feel any unusual pain, then you must stop exercising and inform a member or staff immediately. 
53. Participants in instructors’ classes are advised to inform the instructor of any injuries, pains, or concerns prior to the class starting. 
54. It is strongly recommended that each member have a medical examination and physician approval prior to engaging in any physical activity within the premises. 
55. Members are responsible for any health problems incurred upon using The Sports Complex’s facilities. The Sports Complex shall bear no liability for any personal injuries, health problems, or death sustained at or after the booking, including directly or indirectly resulting from any existing medical condition. 
56. The member and his/her guest must wear appropriate attire or sports attire and footwear when entering The Sports Complex. 
57. Unsupervised children 12 years and below are prohibited in The Sports Complex compound. 

FACILITIES RESERVATION PROCEDURES 

58. All facilities as listed below can be reserved only by The Sports Complex registered members. 
I. Court(s) 
II. Field(s) 
III. Swimming Pool 
IV. Studio(s) V. Lounge Area(s) 
VI. Gym 
59. All bookings can be made through the Booking App. 
I. Members must state the sports under the remarks section. 
II. The Sports Complex will provide the booking reference number through WhatsApp text. 
III. Members must acknowledge the booking reference number provided. 
60. Venue reservation are only confirm after full payment is made prior to the booking date and time. 
61. The members shall be identified and monitored to stay within their reserved venue, courts and/or fields at the specified date and time. 
62. Wait for your scheduled reserved time and do not exceed the reserved time schedule. 
63. No refund and cancellation request shall be entertain after booking is confirmed. 
64. Payment procedures: 
I. Full payment is required for booking the venue, courts and/or fields within two (2) weeks after the booking has been made. 
II. Any booking made within a period of two (2) weeks must be paid before the dateline provided. 
III. No payment received within the given time frame, the venue, courts and/or field will be automatically cancelled and will be open for other members to book. 
IV. No refund request shall be entertain after booking is confirmed. 
V. Online payment can be done to OSCO Sdn Bhd bank account: 00-001-01-0013584 or follow our BIBD Bill Payment Guide. 
VI. For online payments, the official receipt shall be sent through email. 
VII. Members must respond through WhatsApp text sent by The Sports Complex for any pending payments. 
65. Reschedule or changes on the confirmed booking: 
i. Changes of reserved venue, courts and/or fields or reschedule shall be accepted if made at least four (4) working days prior to the reserved date and is subject to the venue availability. 
ii. Payment shall be carried forward to the next booking. 
iii. Any reschedule or changes request made and received less than four (4) working days shall not be entertain. 
66. In case of any bad weather on the day of the event, the member may either reschedule or move to a different location within The Sports Complex with additional cost incurred. 

DEMERIT POINT SYSTEM 

67. Recurring booking cancellations made by members will be given a Demerit Point. (The Demerit Point will affect the number of times booking can be made by the member).

SWIMMING POOL POLICIES 

68. Swim at your own risk. No Lifeguard on duty. 
69. Use of the pool by children under 12 years that are unattended is prohibited. A parent or guardian must supervise them. 
70. Any behavior deemed inappropriate or dangerous will not be allowed (pool privileges may be suspended). 
71. Activities potentially harmful to swimmers (horseplay, dunking, running and fighting) will not be tolerated. 
72. Each swimmer must shower prior to entering the pool. 
73. Appropriate swimming attire must be worn – made of synthetic material such as Lycra or Spandex. Cotton materials and other absorbent materials are not allowed as it can cause clogging of the filtration system. 
74. Change of clothing must be carried out in the respective changing rooms. 
75. Do not swim if you have open wounds, sores, flu or any type of bandage on your body. Please be considerate to others as we do not want to infect other members using the swimming pool. 
76. Any usage of detergents are strictly not allowed in the swimming pool. 
77. Every apparatus and equipment must be handled with care and usage of equipment must be reported to the lifeguard on duty. Any defects or damages will be charged to the member responsible. 
78. Accidents should be reported immediately to the lifeguard on duty or to the security on duty. 
79. Do not leave your personal belongings unattended. If required, you may obtain the key locker from the security. Any items found at the locker will be cleared the following day. 

CAR PARK POLICIES 

80. The car park at The Sports Complex is open to everyone. Users of the car park do so at their own risk. 
81. The Sports Complex accept no liability for any claim by the user or any other person using the car park, whether for any injury to the user or any person, or loss, theft, or damage to the vehicles and any of its accessories, whether resulting from using the car park or being unable to use the car park or otherwise. 
82. The Sports Complex accept no liability for any loss, theft or damage to any property left inside the vehicle belonging to the user or any other persons. The Sports Complex is not authorized to accept any of possessions for safe custody. 
83. Users of the car park agree to indemnify The Sports Complex in respect of any claim made against The Sports Complex arising from the use of the car park. 
84. Users of the car park must comply with all the rules and directions displayed in the car park and with all relevant law
85. Users of the car park must not obstruct any other persons or vehicles using the car park. 
86. Users of the car park must not park in any area marked “Reserved”, “No Parking”, “Authorized Personnel Only” or outside of the line marked parking bays. 
87. Users of the car park are liable for any damage to the car park or to any other vehicle caused by or as a result of using the car park. Any damage to the parking facility or equipment caused by the user must be paid at the user’s expense. 
88. The Sports Complex reserves the right to refuse admittance to or remove any vehicles from the car park without being obliged to give any reason for such action.
