2024 Long Range Production Award for Junior Owned Cows

Requirements for Award
1. Ownership requirements are as follows: ANY animals purchased by a junior member (from outside of the home herd OR from inside the home herd) must be owned by the junior member for three years at the time of the entry deadline before any records made prior to the transfer can be applied towards the animal’s lifetime production. After three years of ownership, all previous production records are eligible.     
  A. A photocopy of the registration for the animal entered must be submitted with this award form.     
  B. A photocopy of the supervised, official lifetime test sheet must also be submitted with this form.     
  C. In the event that an incomplete record should make an entry qualify, a photocopy of the most recent test sheet should also be submitted.     
  D. If the application cow has passed away it must be within the year of the application.    
   E. The application cow’s completed record must be within the year of application. 

2. An animal must have over 100,000 lbs of milk to be entered. Recognition is given for over 100,000 lbs., 150,000 lbs., and 200,000 lbs. of milk, lifetime. Awards are to be designated by the Junior Activities Committee. 
3. A Junior member is limited to four (4) animals total.
4. Copy of Supervised, Official testing sheets must be submitted. 
5. The awards will be given to animals of 87% or above Registered Holstein. 
6. Applicant must not have passed their 21st birthday as of January 1st of the year of completing the application (those that turn 21 during the project year are eligible to apply for this award).  Junior State Holstein membership is a requirement for this award. Applicant must be a Junior member of the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association by August 15th of the year in which the application is submitted. Animal(s) in co-ownership must be owned by junior members only (no adults). 
7. All entries must be in the State Holstein office by November 8, 2024.
8. All records will be subject to approval by the Junior Activities Committee. 
9. Certificates will be given to the winners in the over 100,000 lbs., category and awards for 150,000 lbs., and 200,000 lbs. categories.
