Funded Students and 1 chaperon can attend most events for free. Additional guests will be required to pay a $10 fee per person, per event. Fee Based students, guests, and siblings are $10 unless posted otherwise, with 1 adult chaperon usually being free. Fees posted for each event. *Fee Based Event Disclaimer For All Students - Your payment serves as your RSVP. Refunds will not be given if you cannot attend an event after payment has been made. Your RSVP and payment is giving us a headcount that we give to the facilities that we visit. Since they are usually giving us a discount based on the amount of students, SPRUCE has to pay whether your student actually attends or not.

Packing lunch and eating at the arena is also an option.
We meet at the Watchable Wildlife Pavilion of the Navajo State Park. From Pagosa Springs, drive west on Highway 160 until you reach Highway 151 going south. Turn left (south) at the top of the hill (Mile Marker 127) onto Highway 151, which is just past the wildlife overpass. Follow the mile markers on Highway 151 until Mile 19. Join us for our last EE of the school year and come Dog sledding!(Or, rather, come on a Dog Cart tour!). With a limit of 15 students total, our Dog sled expert and guide will take 3 rounds of students out with her team of Alaskan Sled Dogs. Since the snow will (most likely) be gone by this time in April we will be riding on a Dog Cart, a sled with wheels, pulled by the team of dogs. While each round of students is on their 25-minute cart ride, the other 2 groups of students and families will have the chance to play with the canines not a part of the running team, as well as check out the Watchable Wildlife Pavilion, where they can learn all sorts of cool facts about the area! Please wear closed-toed shoes, and long pants, as well as clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty! Check out the website below to meet the team of dogs and find more info!
