Catering Exemption Request

In rare cases when the primary and secondary caterers cannot meet the needs of an event, a request for an exemption can be made by completing the Catering Provider Exemption Form. As exemptions require significant administrative effort to process, approval will only be granted under very limited circumstances.Complete approval of the exemption will require the submission of the following documents:

- Caterer's or Sponsor's business license
- Caterer's or Sponsor's certificate of insurance (limits will be provided)
- Caterer's or Sponsor's State of Georgia food service permit
- Caterer's or Sponsor's invoice for the event

Please work with the caterer(s) or sponsor(s) to procure and submit these documents. There is a section at the end of the form where you can upload these documents if you have them at the time of submission. If you do not you will be contacted and asked to provide them once the exemption request is reviewed. In addition, caterer or sponsor will be required to pay the standard catering commission to Georgia Tech of 10% of total invoice, which is mandatory for the privilege of conducting business on State property.
