Fox Drilling Inc. is a small drilling contractor located in Lethbridge, Alberta, established in 2009. We operate in Central and Northern Alberta, specializing in pad (batch) drilling focusing on long-reach horizontal wells. We put a strong emphasis on health and safety and ensuring our employees are valued and safe.
Job Description:
- Provide manual labour in all weather conditions.
- Clean and maintain various rig equipment.
- Operate and maintain engines.
- Operate and maintain hydraulic, water, fuel, and air systems.
- Operate and maintain boiler systems during winter operations.
- Operate and maintain loader and telehandler daily.
- Must be knowledgeable in drilling procedures – rig moves, nipple up, etc.
- Assist Driller with running the crew on shift.
- Guide and mentor workers to be prepared for upcoming processes.
- Assist crew members as required.
- Must be able to assist in training new workers in the following:
- Operating the ST80 Roughneck, tongs, and drilling tubular.
- General rig operations.
- Loader and telehandler operations.
- Casing preparation and running.
Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s licence preferred.
- Basic mechanical skills an asset.
- Must have reliable transportation for long-distance travel.
- Ability to work at heights greater than 3 meters.
- Must be able to physically lift/carry 40kg of weight over a distance of 15 meters.
- Ability to work in remote locations for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to take directions and listen effectively.
- Must be able to work unsupervised and take the initiative.
- Must be able to work outside in cold, wet, hot, and dirty environments.
- Will be required to share a room with someone else in camp if needed.
- Must be a team player and assist co-workers as required.
