Interview Guide

Use this guide for inshop and delivery driver interviews

Before the interview begins, review the applicant in workstream. Print their indeed resume if it was provided. Look at their attire and appearance. Take a deep breath and remember your just having a conversation with another human being. Ask questions and pause for answers. Make sure you're allowing the applicant time to think and respond to your questions. Keep in mind that you are not allowed to ask certain questions. Anything related to age, race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, creed, or ethnicity can be considered descriminatory. Also avoid any questions related to medical history, family status (dependants, pregnancy, relationship status, etc..), or military history. For example: You should never ask an applicant how old they are, BUT you may ask... "Are you at least above the age of 18?" Since our delivery drivers must be 18 years or older. You should never ask about someones citizenship status, BUT you can ask if they are authorized to work in the United States since they will be required to prove this during onboarding. You should never ask someone about their children or what their childcare arrangements are, BUT you can ask directly about their schedule and availability. If you are ever in doubt about what you can or cannot ask, reach out to your area manager or send an email to Mindy@randyjamesinc.com
