The Covenant Ministerium requires its members to commit to ongoing vocational growth. All ordained, commissioned, consecrated and licensed ministers must complete this tool. (Completion of this tool is optional for ministers on retired or inactive status.)
The Vocational Growth Tool (VGT) must be completed each calendar year to reflect your personal and professional growth activities during the previous 12 months. We suggest that you establish the routine practice of paying dues, filing your VGT and updating your profile each year at the same time.
Four vocational growth experiences are required each year for active ministers. Two of the four should take place at a conference or denominational activity.
It is recognized that some ministry contexts outside the U.S. and Canada (for example, missions or chaplaincy) may mean that many suggested Covenant-sponsored growth experiences will be unavailable or difficult. Ministers in such contexts are invited to substitute Covenant-sponsored growth experiences within their own contexts in the "Other" category.
