In submitting this application to join Drift Kings & Queens Cycling Club, I undertake to always ride safely. I understand that a bicycle is a vehicle subject to the State of Texas Laws, as stated in the Texas Drivers Handbook.<br><br>I also understand that Drift Kings & Queens Cycling Club requires each member to wear a CPSC-certified bicycle helmet on all rides. I assume all risks and liabilities of the activities and release Drift Kings & Queens Cycling Club from any claim by me, my representatives, heirs, or next of kin.<br><br>I understand the nature of bicycling activities and am qualified to participate. I understand that these activities will be conducted over public roads and facilities open to the public during the activity upon which the hazards of traveling are expected.<br><br>I further agree that if I believe conditions to be unsafe at any time, I will immediately discontinue further participation in the activity.<br><br>I fully understand that:<br><br>A. All posts in this community must be related to cycling. If you have content unrelated to cycling, keep it on your personal Facebook page. This includes political, religious, or similar content - the admins will remove these posts. We have the right to delete any posts considered inappropriate for our members. Violating these rules will lead to immediate post-removal, and the member responsible may face suspension, removal, and blocking at the admins' discretion. Also, any spam will be deleted, and the person responsible will be removed and blocked.<br><br>B. Participating in biking activities carries significant risks of bodily harm, such as permanent disability, paralysis, and even death. These hazards may result from my own or others' actions or inactions during the activity, the environment in which the activity occurs, or the negligence of the participants, organizers, and patrons of Drift Kings & Queens Cycling Club.<br><br>C. Additional risks and social and economic losses might be unknown to me or not easily predictable. I fully acknowledge and accept these risks and take full responsibility for any losses, costs, or damages I may suffer due to my involvement in Drift Kings & Queens Cycling Club activities.<br><br>D. By signing this Waiver via electronic signature, you acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable diseases exists in any public place where people are present. By attending club-sponsored bicycling rides and related events, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to COVID-19 and any other communicable diseases, and agree not to hold Drift Kings & Queens Cycling Club, or any of their affiliates, Board of Directors, Officers, or Volunteers liable for any illness, injury, or loss of life. I release, discharge, covenant directors, agents and employees, other participants, any sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and leasers of the premises on which the activity takes place from all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages on my account caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by them, including negligent rescue operations.<br><br>E. I entirely release, discharge, indemnify (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees) and agree not to bring any claims or suits against Drift Kings & Queens Cycling Club or its owners, officers, agents, servants, associations, employees, or any person or entity connected with Drift Kings & Queens Cycling Club for any injuries or damages sustained by me during a ride, including negligence, breach of contract, or wrongful conduct.<br> <br>I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTOOD ALL THE TERMS STATED IN THIS WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT, AND I AM COMMITTED TO COMPLYING WITH THEM.<br><br>PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS FOR ANY RIDE ARE MANDATORY AND CAN NOT BE WAIVED:<br><br>* CPSC-certified bicycle helmet.<br>* Water bottle.<br>* Repair kit - Tubes, CO2 Canisters, tire levers, etc.  <br>* Any nutritional items you would like to have.
