Social Media Ambassador Program

Edison State Community College is looking for passionate, creative students to represent our College as Social Media Ambassadors! This opportunity allows students to share their experiences, showcase campus life, and promote events through their personal social media accounts or content creation, helping to connect with current and future students.

Responsibilities

• Create & Share Content–Post or submit engaging photos, videos, and stories about student life, academics, and events. You can submit content via email. If posting on your personal account, tag @EdisonStateCC and use hashtags #EdisonState, #IamEdisonState, and #EdisonStateAmbassador.
• Promote Campus Activities–Attend and share updates about student organizations, events, sports, or extracurriculars.
• Maintain Quality & Professionalism–Ensure posts align with Edison State’s brand and values.

Eligibility Requirements

• Be a current Edison State student enrolled in at least six credit hours.
• Have an active, public account on Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, or YouTube.
• Demonstrate creativity, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for Edison State.
• Maintain a positive online reputation and be comfortable appearing in content.

 Program Expectations

• Content Creation–Ambassadors must post about their Edison State experience at least four times per semester.
• Photo/Video Content Examples:
  • “Day in the Life” posts
  • Campus events
  • Academic projects or internships
  • Student organizations or extracurricular activities

Program Updates

You will receive emails updating you on your progress toward your four required contributions per semester, along with content ideas, other opportunities, and special events for our ambassadors.

Media Release and Consent

Please read the following carefully.

I hereby consent and authorize an employee or agent of Edison State Community College to take photographs, videos, publish direct quotes, or capture any other digital assets that include my name, voice, and/or image ("materials").

I authorize Edison State Community College to copyright the materials and use, reuse, copy, publish, display, exhibit, reproduce, license to a third party, and distribute the materials in any educational or promotional materials or other forms of media. These may include, but are not limited to, the College website(s), publications, catalogs, articles, magazines, recruiting brochures, and newsletters—digital or otherwise—without notifying me.

I also agree that Edison State Community College may identify me by name, course of study, and other identifying information, such as class year, graduation date, and hometown.

I understand that this authorization is granted in perpetuity, and I waive any right to inspect or approve any finished media containing my likeness. I release and discharge Edison State Community College, its employees, representatives, and any third parties acting under its permission from any claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise related to the use of these materials, including but not limited to claims for libel, invasion of privacy, or misrepresentation.

I further understand that Edison State Community College is not obligated to use the materials and that they may be edited, modified, or not used at all.

I agree that I am participating voluntarily and will not receive any form of payment from Edison State Community College for signing this release or as a result of any publication or use of materials.

Revocation Clause: I understand that I may revoke this consent at any time by providing written notice to Edison State Community College, but that such revocation will not affect any materials already published or in production prior to receipt of my notice.

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.

I have read and understand the above consent and release form. I affirm that I am at least 18 years of age.
